Storm Debris
The Candler County Landfill is open for regular hours. The landfill tipping fees for storm debris have been waived for Candler County residents through 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18th.. The fee waiver will be considered for extension on November 18th.Candler County EMA is currently engaged with the Georgia Emergency Management Agency (GEMA) and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on the possiblity of a debris removal plan in Candler County. No details on this plan have been finalized. Residents who have large debris or are unable to transport their debris to the landfill are encouraged to stage their debris at their property line and the county right-of-way (ROW) following FEMA debris staging guidelines. Mixed piles (vegetagive, white, construction) may not be picked up. There is currently no timeline for debris pickup.
